Who can forget Cayuga Lake - less frequented, but still a scenic location where many alumni from Southside spent their college years at Cornell and Ithaca College. Cayuga is one of the best of the Finger Lakes for sailing, according to seasoned freshwater sailors of upstate New York. The winds come straight down out of the north and make for some interesting tacking from shore to shore. This photo is from an antique postcard which Bill Cook, our webmaster, found at a recent visit to the Daytona Beach Flea Market. It is postmarked 8-21-1909. © 2001 SHS Class of '58
