This photo was sent in to us my former Elmiran, Richard Verguson, now of Port Orange, FL who writes:

I am enclosing a photo that my father-in-law took in 1939 at his service station on Church St. and Madison Ave. As you can see the motorbuses just started as the overhead lines for the street cars are still there. I like the contrast of the lone carriage and the heavy traffic on Madison Ave.

My father-in-law was Lorenzo "Renie" LaFrance, who later had his own garage on Lake Road 'till he retired.
