Editor's Note: The reunion committee created a Reunion Booklet for our 1998 reunion - you can purchase it from us for $10.00 per copy. The booklet contains a number of auto-biographical sketches like this one as our Whatever Happened series continues.

Hello from Durham, North Carolina.

After high school, I did my stint in the Navy spending most of my enlistment aboard the newest carrier in the Atlantic Fleet (USS Independence CVA62). During my enlistment, I married my high school sweetheart, Joan Dersham (Class of '59). I worked my way through college and took a position with Mallory Timers in Warsaw, NY as Manager of Test Systems and Programming. I worked there 15 years until 1973 and then moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL as a Senior Manufacturing Test Technician for Bendix Avionics. The product I worked on was a digital cockpit "EFIS." In 1984 thru 1986 Joan and I both attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Following Joan's and my graduation, I took a position as Technical Services Manager at the Herald-Sun Newspaper in Durham, NC. AFter 8 years in this position, I burned out and took a position as Assistant Business Manager at Duke School for Children here in Durham, NC. In January of 1998 I started my own company, Triangle Web Design, which is much easier as I work from my home.

Along the way, Joan and I raised 4 children, the youngest is 12 years old. And we have 8 grandchildren.
