Sorrow and Justice

1958's Bill Thomas
Lots has been happening in my life this past year and half. However, I wanted to share this with you. I was in the waiting room at the VA hospital to see my oncologist a week after the WTC destruction, and these thoughts just popped into my head, so I started writing and this is what appeared to me. Believe me I do not write anything. I don't know if it is worthwhile. But it is to me.

I got up Tuesday Morning - the date... September 11, 2001
It did not take me long before I knew it meant 9-11

The Emergency Crews were dispatched
To do their usual thing

Not realizing just how unusual
Their task would really bring

Rescue Crews march proudly on
Not realizing many brothers will soon be gone

For planes were flying low
To strike a devastating blow

The World Trade Center was one of their targets
While citizens watched with amazement and thought

Like bombs our own planes attacked
New York City' s skyline so lovely and compact

For all these planes were hijacked
To complete their horrible tasks

It did not take our country long to understand
That terrorism was now at hand

Shortly thereafter the Pentagon was brutally hit
Oh Lord, how can this possibly happen to it

More people than one can imagine
Have fallen to the Lord without compassion

Souls from around the world, were part of this event
Even Flight 93 crashed into the ground with horrendous relent

This plane was flying to a target
Which was intended and thought to be

The Capitol or the White House
Were the possibilities

But these brave passengers aboard that plane
Would not let this flights target be obtained

Instead they died together
Clinging to our Lords Tether

The world is now in shock
Its very hard to comprehend

So now we must go on
With a united world to respond

All the Lord's souls in this country
Must mourn it's terrible sundry

Its time to place our total trust
In the President and his Staff

With Intelligent and Positive warfare
We must bring down these terrorists so relentlessly unfair

The staff of this Country's punishment
Will be far less painful than God's wrath

So now we stand with God the Father
To pray for the victims who could not have gotten hit harder

For they are going to go home with pride
And rejoice in their final domicile

Now so proudly we say goodbye
So this whole world can stand and cry

We place our complete support and stand
With the cross of "Enduring Freedom" now at hand

God please Bless America and all the world
As old Glory flies for all to embrace

As we renounce the people these terrorists must be
So they will no longer bring this evil to me

People show this world that now is the time
To show Osama bin Laden how terrible his crimes

And that God, the Father, will no longer allow
This man or his soldiers to continue, somehow

Glory Be to all Mankind
Instead of causing these terrible times

AMEN!!
