Southside Landmarks

e all remember the old Masia's Restaurant on Old Pine City Road (now Pennsylvania Avenue extended). Little would we know when we were back at Southside that 1958's own twosome, the Harners (Bob Harner and Pat Harvey) who could be seen strolling down the hallways of SHS arm-in-arm would someday be the proud owners of the old restaurant, and rename it The Pine City Inn.

Several of our SHS 1958 reunions saw our Friday Night get togethers at the Harners' restaurant. And we'd have many planning meetings there for the Reunion Committee as well. The picture above was taken in 1998 on Monday afternoon after our 40th reunion week-end. And as expected, we had met there on the previous Friday night to kick off our gala event. Another memory that will live on in our hearts forever.
