Editor's Note: The reunion committee created a Reunion Booklet for our 1998 reunion - you can purchase it from us for $10.00 per copy. The booklet contains a number of auto-biographical sketches like this one as our Whatever Happened series continues. Hello from Orlando, Florida. During my senior year, I met Pat (Wilson), a sophomore. We were married on July 18, 1959 and that November, we moved to Orlando. I joined the army in Dec, 1961, had basic training at Fort Jackson, SC and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. In September, 1962, I was shipped overseas, 35 miles south of Paris, to Fountainbleau, France. The summer of 1963, Pat joined me and we lived off base until my discharge in September, 1965. Back in Orlando, we started a family by adopting 3 children, Edward in 1966 at 3 weeks old, Linda in 1968 at 5 weeks old, and Robert in 1969 at 2 weeks old. We also bought our home in February, 1969. I've worked as a quality control inspector, and computer programmer. The kids have moved out now, leaving Pat and me alone with over a hundred birds. Pat is a licensed bird breeder. We raise parakeets, lovebirds, cockatiels and conures. So with getting the house ready for our retirement and raising birds we are pretty well tied down. Sorry to have missed you all.
