Inside Mark Twain's Study - 1928
rior
to being moved to Elmira College in 1952, this little octagonal building
was located on Quarry Farm on East Hill, where Mark Twain wrote eight
of his famous works. Samuel Clemens was born on November 30, 1835 and
as Mark Twain, he became one of the nation's best-known storytellers.
His humoristic style captivated people of all ages, and his Adventures
of Huckleberry Finn has been heralded as the "great American
novel." Most of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the entire
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn were written by Clemens in this
study.
