The booklet contains a number of auto-biographical sketches like this one as our Whatever Happened series continues. Hello from Elmira, New York. I married Tom Halm (SHS Class of '57) and we have a son, two daughters, one daughter-in-law, one granddaughter and three grandsons. After graduation, I worked in two law offices and as Secretary to the Assistant General Manager at Bendix Corporation in Elmira Heights. After taking some time off to raise the family, I went to work for the Elmira City School District as a classroom/office aide. Since 1975 I have worked as a secretary in two elementary schools, the Gifted and Talented Program, Athletic Department, Business Department, and am currently the Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools and Clerk of the School Board. It has been an interesting experience but I am looking forward to retirement In a couple of years. Tom and I have a 1955 Willys automobile which Tom and our son are in the process of restoring and then we will hit the parade/show road. We have done some traveling to visit our daughter who is in the Air Force. I chaperoned a Southside High Concert Choir trip to Vienna, Austria in 1983 and Tom and I just returned from a cruise to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. We don't know what we will do in retirement but I don't think we will sit still for long. We plan to remain in the Elmira area and invite anyone to call or visit any time. I am looking forward to getting together with old classmates at the reunion. The reunion committee is working hard to establish an up-to-date data base for information from all classmates.
