These guys aren't Southside Alumni, but they were an indispensible part of our trip and are also good friends. On the right is diver, Jack Ascherl, husband of Marlene Swimelar Ascherl (SHS Class of 57) and on the left in the photo is fellow diver and Jack's best friend, Bill Schneider, of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Both are native Floridians and are experienced divers. They have been visiting the Florida Keys together during Lobster Fest for about 30 years and really know where to find those little "bugs" as they are called. This photo was taken by Bill Cook (SHS Class of 58) and is a shot of the first day's catch. We had 7 aboard and were allowed to bring back nine lobster for each licensed person aboard.
