Nine, Pennsylvania Ave., Holbrook... So many of the grammar schools that we all went to have vanished. Hopkins Street is still standing, but vacant. Pennsylvania Avenue is gone as is Number Nine. Broadway Middle School, built after we graduated from SHS, has replaced all but a few. But NOT PARLEY COBURN! Coburn School is still alive and well and even has a Web Site. Check it out. The kids at Coburn have created a very entertaining and informative Web Site dealing with topics that all Elmirans and former Elmirans will find interesting. Copyright © 1999 - SHS
