The Statue

Nope - this statue is kind of green, but it's not Arney! This is the statue of Preacher Beecher - the first minister of The Park Church located in the 200 block of West Gray Street. And it's a good thing that it's located this far from the river because the 1972 Flood washed just about everything in downtown Elmira along Water Street into the Chemung River. Bet you thought you were going to get through this game without hearing a 72 Flood Story? Not a chance.

We don't see Arney standing anywhere around this statue. But he must be somewhere nearby - try walking north a few steps to Church and see if he isn't somewhere in the Langdon Plaza there. Just move your mouse pointer down to the map of Elmira below and click there.
