The Court House

The Court House

Here we are at Lake and Gray Streets. Oooh, there's a parade today. Is that Arney with the balloons over there? Sure has his profile.

The Court House is one of the oldest official buildings in Elmira. And it's still functioning today as it has for years and years as the center of justice in Chemung County. This picture was taken on July 4, 1991. And this IS a parade down Lake Street celebrating our nation's birthday nearly 20 years after the Flood - oh, no, there we go again.

But that's not Arney with the balloons - Arney never wore shorts. Have you checked M & M Red Hots yet? That's on Baldwin street - the building with the bright yellow awning in front.
