f students were still attending Southside today at its original location, we might be celebrating another of Southside High School's rededications, because it was 80 years ago this month that the school was originally dedicated. In fact, to the day, it was June 16, 1924.

Fifty years later on June 16, 1974, Elmira played host to rededication ceremonies of the Southside High School building, where alumni representatives from each decade of Southside's existence were speakers for the occasion. Mary-Jo Kline, SHS Class of 1957 was one of these speakers, and sent us the two programs above, which outline these historic events. The one on your left is a reprint of the original Dedication Program from 1924. The one on the right was for the rededication.
